Registering and the Member Page
I can’t login to my member page.
First, please remember that the password recognition is case sensitive, so you must use capitals and small letters in the right places. Also, please remember to use the correct email address (i.e. the one you used when you registered) if you have more than one. When you have logged in, you will have the opportunity to change your password to something that is easier to remember, but please ensure you choose a password that is also secure
What do you do with the personal data that I give you?
Do I have to live in the US to be a member?
Yes. As stated in our Terms and Conditions you have to be a resident of the United States to be a member of the Reel Change panel. The surveys we conduct are directed specifically at members of the US public.
We consider the creation of accounts by non-US residents to be fraudulent behavior and we will terminate the accounts of members who are not from the United States.
How old do I have to be to be a member?
As stated in our Terms and Conditions, due to the rules and regulations surrounding the ways in which market research should be conducted, we are not able to offer our service to people under the age of 16.
We consider the creation of accounts by those under 16 years of age to be fraudulent behavior and will terminate the accounts of members who are not of the required age.
I don’t want to be a part of the Panel any more, how do I leave?
Login to your member page and click the ‘unregister’ link. Please note that by leaving the Panel, you will lose any incentive earned after you last redeemed. All your information will then be removed from our database. This may take a few business days to process.
How will I be notified of survey opportunities?
Every time there is a survey for you, we will send you an email invitation. This will be sent from email@example.com
Once I sign-up, when should I expect to receive my first survey?
You are eligible from the very moment you sign-up to receive surveys. Therefore, you could receive an invitation right away. Generally speaking however, you should receive your first survey invitation within two or three weeks. It really depends on your profile information and the current needs of the research being conducted.
What kinds of questions will I have to answer in surveys?
Surveys can come from organizations which make products and provide services for everyone. You could be asked about a range of topics, from technology to books and everything in between.
Surveys should not take you more than 25 minutes to complete, and most are shorter. We may also ask people to provide feedback via webcams, mobile phone surveys, do online bulletin board surveys or even interact with other panelists in online focus groups. You will never be required to participate in these research sessions.
Do I have to participate in every survey I am invited to?
Not at all. We don’t like to over burden people with surveys and aim to invite members to participate in relevant surveys based on the registration information we collect. If you haven’t participated in a survey for a while, you may receive an email checking that you wish to remain in the Panel, or asking you to update your profile information.
When I click on the survey link, it says that the survey is closed/ or that my quota is full, why?
Survey closed means that one of the following has occurred:
- The survey has been completed. Normally surveys are active for 2-7 days.
- The desired number of answers has been collected for this survey.
- Some surveys automatically close due to inactivity, typically after 10-15 minutes.
- Quota full means that all answers from your specific target-group have been collected.
I haven’t received any surveys from you in a long time.
You can greatly increase the chance of receiving survey invitations by always ensuring that your profile details are complete and up to date. You can update your personal information via your member page.
In certain circumstances your email system can misinterpret the survey invitation sent-out as spam. Please make sure that our email address firstname.lastname@example.org doesn’t get filtered out as such. To do this, you will want to add the above as a “safe sender”.
I want to receive more surveys and get the chance to win more.
The more profile information you provide when you register, the more likely you are to receive survey invites. Upon registering, we also ask how frequently you would like to participate. We aim to match the number of surveys with your interest in completing surveys.
The number of surveys you are eligible to receive during a set time is limited following guidelines set forth by ESOMAR and CASRO, these are market research industry associations. The reason for this is to ensure research quality and avoid respondent fatigue.
How am I rewarded for completing surveys?
For every survey you complete you will be awarded with panel credits, paid directly in to your panel account and can be redeemed through PayPal, Amazon or GCodes.
Will I be rewarded for every survey I complete?
If you qualify for and fully complete a survey you will receive panel credits. Sometimes, not everyone fits the profile that the organization hosting the survey desires. Most often, you are not rewarded for answering the screening questions (e.g. what brand of mobile phone do you own?). However, we seek to provide you with an appropriate amount of survey taking opportunities and you can contact us at any point with your feedback.
How do I redeem my rewards?
Once you have at least $5 credit for PayPal, $10 credit for Amazon or $10 credit for GCodes, you can then redeem it. Login to your panel account and click on “Your Profile” scroll down and then click on “Redeem Rewards”. To redeem, click on “PayPal US”, “Amazon” or “GCodes”, and then your Reel Change Credits will either go into your PayPal account, or you will be sent an email from PayPal or Amazon or GCodes to the email address you registered for the panel with. If you do not have a PayPal account, the email will ask you to set one up so the money can be transferred to you.
Please note that PayPal will take 2% of any processed amount as their handling fee. This is not covered by Reel Change or it’s affiliates.
When can I expect my rewards?
For PayPal payments, please allow up to ten working days during busy periods although this is usually processed much sooner. For Amazon voucher codes, please allow up to four weeks especially during busy periods of the year. For GCodes, please allow a minimum of ten working days. Please note that payments are usually made much quicker. Any issue, then please contact us.
How do I set up a PayPal account?
Click on the link below to take you to the PayPal website where you can set up an account. Please note: the email address you use for your PayPal account must be the same email address you have used to register with us.

Can I be paid in cash or by alternative means?
No. We cannot offer up an alternative means of incentive upon the request of individual members of this panel. In some cases the Reel Change Panel may need to change the incentives on offer and can change this at their discretion without notification. In this instance the incentive will be replaced with a reward of equal or greater value
